i was ridin to my friends apartment today, all of the sudden my shiva stopped playin. the amp was still on so it cant be a fuse, i have no idea what happend. any ideas on what it could be. im gettin scared that a channel might have went out on my brand new phoenix gold t300.2.( amp is bridged). i dont tihnk my wiring is loose, i wont be sure of that till tomorrow cuz i didnt have time to check today. any ideas on what it could be?

The hard thing with problems like this... is that we cant know for sure or anything... the best ideas are to trouble shoot... all your wires, an even the cd player its self. With my pioneer deck, if my battery dies or anything happens to my fueses and my pionner is shutdown.... not turned off.... all the settings are preset... and it automaticly turns off my sub output.... and i went around for like 3 days thinking my sub was dead when it was just cause i forgot about turning it on in my deck.... just a simple mistake...trouble shoot

tihnk that could be it? my battery didnt die or anything so the memory couldnt have been lost unless it just for some reason decided to turn the sub output off on its own. the sub just stopped playin in the middle of the song, wasnt even cranked all the way. im gettin worried

Use a HT amp or something to see if the amp is o.k

just hook the HT RCA's up to the amp

Or a mini plug to RCA converter, just use any player that has a head phone output

subwoofer could be blown....

around these parts i'm known as captain obvious //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

HT= Home Theatre

Termlab, how dare you put that !

P.S

your not captian obvious //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

take sub out, test it in the house with a 9v battery on the terminals. if it moves, it most likely isnt broke.

test the amp with another source, walkman, portable cd player.. just get RCA->3.5 mini jack (like on the head of your headphones) and use that as the source instead of your deck. if the amp works with the sub (that you have already tested to make sure it works) then its your wire or HU.

if not, its your wire or amp.

make sure all connections are tight - blablabla.

try and test your amp in somone elses car.

hey marine werent you having a problem with the sound of it from the beginning? i mean it didnt sound right.......... i would say its closer to factory problem if it always acted weird from the begining....

well the wierd sound started to go away the more it broke in, it still has it a little but i can bear it. i found the problem it was a loose wire on one of my vc, dont know how it could have came loose but i put it back on and shes crankin again. thanks for the help guys
