OK I'VE GOT IT NOW!! i'm doing one sub. which one is better for SQL, something that gets loud but sounds good too. it's going to be in an extended cab truck, a sealed box, 1.5cubic feet or less. i've got a kicker 300.2 (300 watts rms x1 4ohm).

i'm leaning towards the K seems like it is highly recommended but the shiva is well respected too.

i know the shiva is a little less money but i'm willing to pay up to $250 so the money issue doesn't matter. i want the one that is going to be the best one whith only 300 watts rms.

i promise this is the last post about which one too buy until i actually buy one.

I dont think you can go wrong with those 2. They both have SQL and are very loud from what i have beeh told. I vote for the K's.

I just got done installing 2 shivas hooked up to a jbl 1200.1, each in a 1.25 box before woofer displacement. I had one in for like a day, because I needed to go pick up some more screws for the second one, but it was more than enough to start rattling my trunk and the rest of my car. I think it sounds great, and the two of em can get pretty **** loud. One was enough for a daily driver, imo. I haven't heard a lot of subs in cars, but shivas in the box I have love the kick drums, and they're clean, responsive, and can keep up with any song I've played. I'd suggest a little larger box for rap songs and such. 125 for the sub, a price you just can't beat.

Now on to fixing the rattles...

i'm ordering my EK12D2 tommorrow. that is for sure what i'm going to get. i just think it will work best in my situation.

i think i will put it in a 1.2 cubic foot box which is what seems to be recommended evnethough the webite states .85-1.0. i guess i should hit up home depot for some wood to start building a box.
