Shipping to Canada.

I'm thinking of picking up a pair of BA Pro60's off a guy on this board and was hoping for some input about shipping.

For those who have shipped from the states to Canada what is the best method? From what I have heard it is to use USPS so I don't get screwed over with a brokerage fee (UPS and Fedex). Is there any way to get around paying duty?

I would really appreciate the input.

Just this past Saturday I sent an amp to a guy in Edmonton from Kansas via FedEx ground (4-10 days). It's a US Acoustics 4085. Not a giant amp, but pretty good sized. Weighed just under 11 lb.

Cost $16 and change.

Coincidentally - there was a hang up with the paperwork that delayed it by a couple days getting out of town, but hopefully it will go smoothly from here.

I'v been importing goods from the states for 3+ years now, and i know how to get around paying for customs fee's. (car audio, bike parts, paintball, tobacco, ect.. ect...)

- ALWAYS ship with USPS. Either airmail, global priority, or overnight express

-Make sure the sender marks it off as a gift.

-State the item value under $60 if possible. Anything worth over $60 is taxable.

-On the box, write "repair" a few times in permanent marker.

-Inside the box, leave a note stating that the item needs repair, or is a gift. example-( Sub is in need of a recone, severly damaged. Get back to me at ********) This is incase customs opens the package to check out the contents.

- In the description, be sure to mention " damaged" (so that the item value is belivable)

Since iv been using this method, i have never had any problems. Whatever you do, do NOT ship with UPS (especially ground). You WILL get dinged.

Good luck!

Also, for you americans, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to customs fees coming from canada. You luckey bastard:p
