Shipping is insane...

but look on the good side the oil companies showed their biggest profits ever...funny since i'm pretty sure less gas is being bought right now...things that make you go hmmmmm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Did you get to see the oil exect's get grilled yesterday on cspan, that ish was funny

Senator, " How can you explain these record setting profits and the american public paying higher prices"

CEO of BP, "We reinvested it :greedy:"

Senator, "Right "

usps is slower than shit and has horrible tracking.
That is a light box but pretty big size wise. Might want to check dhl, they are usually better on bigger items.
see i think the opposite. usps has always been pretty quick for me. hell i got some wire shipped from GA (im in ohio) on monday evening and it arrived at my door wed morning. it was sent priority mail. sure the tracking sucks but i think it moves pretty quick.

That's just capitalism and free enterprise. They're entitled.

If the consumers have a problem with it, they need to change their usage patterns and spending habits.

Besides, the increase in gas price is largely driven by the increase in crude oil (a cost that Exxon is simply passing on to consumers to maintain revenue).

aha, priority is much better than parcel post or whatever the slow *** standard service is

i love how right after that hes like "we have to explain to our families why gas prices are this high too" yeah like im going to cry for the family making millions that they pay too much for gas lol im pretty sure they can afford it.

i just shipped 2 amps to ca, over 50 bucks, both were in one package.. but ****, I was thinking in the 30s lol.. can never make them papers for having to spend it on something else..

box was 18x16x12, it was double boxed and pretty heavy for what it was. i also shipped a memphis belle from TX-S. Florida for $26.37 with insurance for $600
You're in Texas though...shipping from NY to Cali is probably close to the longest distance within the 48..

Also, I read something, they calculate it on 'dimensional weight' since my package is so light, yet in a larger box. 'Dimensional weight' for my package is 30lbs. It's calculated based on the size of the box. It's absurd.

Gotta love those fuel surcharges now!

We shipped a 75lbs pool liner to Greenville, NC last week and the freight charge was $125, the cost of the liner itself is $199.

So I went looking for answers on this today. Between 2002 and 2006, Exxon spent over 80 billion dollars to find and develop new energy sources. In 2008, they intend to invest another 20 billion dollars for the same.

Another fine example of the wonderful political system at work.
