Shipping a box

What would be the best way to package and ship a box?

Ive been told just wrap it in cardboard and take it to ups.

But that leaves me with the worry of damage caused by ups. i was thinking i could cover the outside of the box with that 1 inch thick blue foam from lowes?

Im just trying to figure out the best way to do this so the customers dont get a dented box

im shipping subwoofer boxs not woofers. there is no box only thing i can do it wrap it in a box so that sticky does not apply here

dimensions for this one are 60Lx 20Hx 17W

I use 1" thick foam corners. I have had pretty good luck *knocks on wood*.

I have a variety of different sized cardboard boxes, but most of the time I dont get an exact fit. Some places I will have to add more padding etc. The tighter fit you can get, especially with large boxes, they easier it is to handle. Which means the less chance of it getting damaged.

DHL was like 45 bucks cheaper than UPS for me to ship mine..UPS wanted like $80-90 bucks

I get my boxes from ULine.com. Just placed a big order tonight actually, lol.

BUMP FOR MORE INFO

as it stands now im completely covering my boxes in 3/4 inch foam from home depot and then covering in carboard

cost me about 15 per box

so if any one has any more ideas let me know

i got cardboard covered i pay 2 bucks for a 4x8 sheet of 200# rated cardboard
