Ok, I finally got some good paint and got the desired smoothness to the fiberglass. I had it pretty **** smooth and then primed it and wetsanded with 400 grit. Then I added 3 coats of this paint I had mixed up at an auto paint store, I had to mix it with a certain ratio of hardner and reducer. It cost $70 for a pint and it was thinner than water when I finished mixing it. The difference between using this stuff and spray can paint was night and day.

The hardest part by far was getting the surface as smooth and even as possible. Mine is not perfect but even if you have a gentle slope is shows....any pinholes it shows. Bondo sand etc. Then get a compressor the right gun and the right paint. Many hours 30-40 plus and $150 plus, this is what I got........and it sounds the same as a regular mdf box....oh well. Paint looks good, but your internal bracing in the box is next to useless.

How is that, it covers about 6 inches up on the backwall and six inches towards you on the bottom wall, are you saying that it will not help long walls from flexing? Plus there are braces on the top with the same measurements coming down.....right about the lower brace...with about a 6 inch gap between the two. Are you saying that having 2/3's of a wall braced in two places is worthless?

it is a 32 inch back panel with a brace every 10 inches width wise and 2/3's of height. My guess is the flexing will be none. Plus it is sealed, **** the spl I will lose.
