Shaving 2 gauge to fit in 4 gauge terminal

Well, you wouldn't wanna do that to your pretty cable.....

Just buy teh block....

What you could also do is, put some type of tip on the cables end(like banana plug type) and stick it in teh 4ga hole

Sounds dirty but hey, it's life. lol

Not the best method, obviously, but it's fine to do it that way in a pinch.

You're reducing surface area, but it's for such a short length that it doesn't matter electrically...look at a fuse element.
