Shark Audio??????

My only issue with this thread is the idiots bashing the amp because thy THINK its an audiopipe. Please show us all where its been "confirmed".
THIS!!!!!! It's all i'm trying to say. If you have an "opinion" stated it and let it be. But don't bash and make it seem like your word is the bible. Especially when you don't even have any experience with it at all.

Look at the fucking picture. They are the same god damn boards.

My "APSM clone" comment didn't neccessarily mean it's a copy of the APSM, per se... Just that it's the same thing. A friend and I installed an APSM1500 on a pair of Type Rs and fried the coil on one of the subs after a few weeks. We set the gains correctly by ear (turning up the volume until it doesn't get audibly louder any more, then backing off of the gain slightly) That's "750w" blowing the coil of a sub rated for 1000w.
This just goes to show how distorted/clipped the power that this amp puts out is... And for everyone in this thread that doesn't undertsand what I just said, I'll break it down:

1. Clipping/distortion causes much higher than normal heat - more clipping = more heat

2. Heat destroys coils of subs

3. Smoke
CLEARLY you didnt set it right ive used my AP amps on walmart DUALS in my gfs car didnt even fry the worlds CHEAPEST subs so CLEARLY you did it wrong ive ran an ap3000 d on 4 w7s didnt fry them..4 t1s didnt fry them Orion HCCA didnt fry them ive used it on some old school audiobahns that were 35 pound tens and ten years old at 1000 rms a peice usign a DMM didnt fry them (they were rated for 800)

ive ran them on audiopipe eye candies STILL NEVER HAVE I ONCE NOT ONE **** TIME FRIED A SUB WITH AN AUDIOPIPE AMP...NEVVVVVERRRRRR

oh wait better yet i always check the coils to prove to someone that they are fine right in front of them and not ONE issue..hell my buddy traded my all audiopipe system straight up for a running truck people thought they were that impressive...not saying they are SUPER awesome but you guys act like if you dont pay out the AS* for something then its crap...lmao

FAAAAANBOOOOOYS

Anyone with a lick of business sense will understand there are multiple reasons why slashing prices for the sake of slashing prices is bad for the long term. You're ignorant of the effects of the Race to Zero. Those who built this industry have seen this coming, and it's sad that greed for the quick buck has taken over. It's in all aspects of retail, not just car audio. This could be a very profitable business, and it still is for some shops and manufacturers.
the ones who over charge for some crap that they pay maybe 10-50 dollars to have built by some homeless Chinese boy. then turn around and sell it for 800

You sound like the AudioPoop fanboy here, not me. I'm just stating facts (doesn't clamp anywhere near rated power clean, cheaply built, often arrives DOA, inefficient, overall a piece of junk, etc.)

because dumb ***** like you spread that word that these garbage amps will suffice, when they won't, instead of spending the money for quality equipment.
if you save money and dont blow all your money on car audio maybe you can get a better car than that college 09 civic car

But you do????? And you asked what has happened to this forum. People like you that can't just give your opinion and move on. You just want to argue with everyone on here that post something that you don't agree with. You are what's happened to this (and many others) forum. Bash bash bash is all you want to do. I'm sure your setup out the bow was 5K+ with the best of everything. Move the fu(k on with you opinion and let your opinion be just that.
This is a great "starter" amp to get you going. Not something I would keep as my full time amp. I have one, and used it for a couple months till I got my AQ3500 (is that amp ok with you Tenacious???). Now it sits in a box as a "back up". It was wired to .5 on a 15" and worked real well for what it is. I'm sure it did real close to rated, but they do run hot regardless of what it's wired to. Take my experience with it for what it is.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Couldnt be more right!!!!

And im getting TWO of these amps today and paying 150 bucks for the both of them..hell if each amp does ONLY 1000 watts im still getting 2000 watts of power for 150 bucks....

oh and how many amps can be said to have ran at .5 ohms and still survive thats not EXPENSIVE...most amps even high end will absolutely FRY if ran under what they are said to be ran at...lol but apparently these GARBAGE worthless paperweight amps can do it daily? hell even strapped! give me a break.

get some experience before you voice a retarded opinion with zero facts...

and btw im getting these as temporary/back up amps until i decide what i want to do and go out and spend big money.

ive seen a guy who competes and had 2 AP3000ds on SIX XFLs and they would destroy most set ups on here guaranteed not all OBVIOUSLY...but his ENTIRE dash literally moved so much i thought it was going to fall apart...all with some GARBAGE amps

because you dont know how to set gains and blew a sub once LMAO. i put 350 RMS into each dual on a 3000d DAILY set with a DMM and nothing blew you tard but you are clearly blowing subs i wonder if its the equipment or the operator being a dumb AS* who thinks he knows it all...im choosing the more clearly obvious one....when a sub or peice of equipment goes out 9 times out of ten its because the person who owned it didnt do something right

oh and the duals were rated for 175 rms...and they were in my gfs car which btw she was EXTREMELY happy with the set up and got plenty of compliments on it and it was hilarious when i poped the trunk to reveal the set up.

you sound SO mature and intelligent with your pathetic comeback responses bro grow up

You're a moron and there's no point in arguing with you. You don't seem to understand "logic"

And my "zero" facts actually have a lot of factual evidence behind them. I linked you to one clamp test showing you that these amps ****, and there's plenty more out there.
