Shallow mount subs

I'm planning on putting 3 shallow mount 12's in a prefab box behind the rear seat of my 99 F250. The box has .55 cubic feet of airspace per sub. I'm looking for a trio of subs that have the ability to really move some air when called upon but that also still sound decent. Looking to spend no more than $1,000 on subs/amps.

What do you guys think?

Looking at 5.25" depth. I can build a custom box but was trying to avoid the trouble and just going with a prefab box with 3 12" shallow mount cutouts
