Shallow mids

any suggestions for a 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" mid with a mounting depth under 3" that will still perform well and be able to get decently low (around the 60-80hz range)?

These will play far lower than what you're looking for.

Almost all of the CDT Audio mids are under 3". HD-M6 is 2.94". It's technically a 6.7" driver. If you need a true 6.5" mid I recommend the HD-6MO, but HD-M6 is better on the low end.
