Sexiness..

Every other layer is cross hatched for strength, it's normally 9 ply, 1/2in is supposed to be stronger than 3/4in MDF, it's lighter and looks much better than MDF. It also takes a stain very well.
I can get a 5ftx5ftx12MM (1/2in) for $18 and a 5ftx5ftx18MM (3/4in) for $23 locally. It's a little more pricey than MDF but much nicer matial to work w/.

Almost forgot, very nice box by the way.
do u work at home depot or something?? if so, how much is it to the general public?

thats like calling a 7 year old chick sexy. you need to show us that biatch when its all grown up and has some boobies on the front of it. then we will see how sexy it is.

Gotta show her nekked first. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

That is some excellent work. Almost a shame for it to be covered.

I honestly wish I could take credit for it. Truth is it was built by someone else.

For all the ECAers...its a Marv box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Marvs been a great guy and I was willing to take the chance and give him a shot. Well worth it despite the fact that it was shipped across the country. Hes extremely talented with his woodworking skills to say the least.

You cannot get it at a regular home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes. You will need to call around to the local lumber yards. That was the cost to the general public from my local lumber yard. It is much cheaper to get it in 5x5 sheets, the 4x8 sheets will run you around $38. I can actually get the 12MM 5x5 sheets for $15.50 but that is because I work for a company that buys MDO from them.

The birch plywood that Home Depot or Lowes sells, is not the same thing as Russian Birch. The sheets H/D and Lowes sell, have a very thin top layer (almost paper thin) and I believe they only have 7 layers instead of the 9 that Russian Birch has.

That box looks like a Mr. Marv box, he does some great work.

I wish it was that inexpensive here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The 3/4" Birch is about $55 per 4x6 here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You have to call around and look for the 5x5 sheets. I'm not sure if this is true but this is what my local lumber yard told me. They said that most of the mills in Russia only make it in 5x5 sheets and that is why all the other sizes are more expensive. Like I said, I'm not sure if that's true or not but from what I have heard, anything other than the 5x5 sheets are around double the price.
