Setup recommendations

I dont have much experience putting component speakers in a vehicle. So I need some help. I have a 98 GMC Sonoma, Speakers ****. Any kind of bass and complete distortion. Right now I have a Avic D3 in there, Navi are the only thing I have experience with lol.

But I would like to add some speakers that arent going to be ****. Also might like to add a sub, which is going to be tough. Single cab

I like the SPR-60C kit from alpine. I need some recommendations on some 4x6, tweeters, 6 1/2 and mostly an amplifier to power all the speakers and/or sub (not 100% sure if Im going to add the sub). I have no clue what to look for in an amplifier

Also some advice as to what size subs I should go with. Its a single cab and the only setup ive ever had is 1000w. So im looking for a setup that will pound good but not overkill.

Budget would be $500 with sub

i have a 95 s10 ,same truck .ok i have a set of components 6.5 from dd ,and a 4 channel amp as far as the 4x6 you could go with almost anything look at cadence,they have alot of size options.as far as a sub ,it depends on how far you can move your seat up,or do flat woofers,they in my opinion dont sound as good.if you have the room i'd do a pair of 10s in a small ported box if done right should sound good
