Setup debate...

So, as many of you know my audio stuff goes into a boat. Right now im running 2 SA10s. 1 is in a compartment in a small sealed box, the other is in the front of the boat in a larger ported box (30hz). Each is powered from an Audiopipe APSM1300.

The issue is that the sealed box takes up all the storage in that compartment, and the sound gets muffled since it gets closed it by a seat.

Here are some choices I have:

1) Keep it as is.

2) Run a single 10" in a 1.3ft^3 before displacement ported box on 2000w/rms (strap both audiopipes)

3) Run 1 10" on 1000w in the ported box, and run 1 10" on 1000watts in an infinite baffle setup under the drivers feat. This was the stock location for a sub. PSI seems to have a sub that will work in this setup.

Why aren't you running marine equipment? Or is it a pontoon boat or inside the cabin or something?

I want a nice boat, just a huge one. I don't care about amenities. Hell, I'd buy the Knock Nevis and sleep on the bottom of the oil tanks. I wonder if I could participate in a yacht race with a container ship.

It's a mastercraft X1, wakeboard boat. Sits in freshwater. All the components are mounted to a wall in a storage cabin. The sub is in the bow, but pretty much protected from most elements. Boat gets covered after us. Most marine stuff is crap and over priced.

I think im leaning towarsd 1 10 on 2000w

What about 1- 12" dual 4 ohm beast running off the 2 - AP 1300's strapped in a ported box in the location of your current ported box.

It looks like you could squeeze a box with a bit more airspace in that location.

Not really a fan of 12s, and i dont want to build a new box. I really dont have that much room... maybe 2 - 3inches longer, but i dont think it would make it much bigger.

I'd like to stick with a 10 or 10s if possible. Since all my subs are 10s

yikes, a bit more than im willing to spend i think... plus there is always the chance of it getting damaged in the boat =P ... im ok with a $380 loss, but not a $700 loss haha
