settings on HU

ok, i have an alpine 9886. i want to control all bass with a bass knob on my aq. my HU has settings: bass, and subwoofer. if i want to control only with bass knob, where should i set these?

Bass to what ever you like, SUB 15/15 (to get full preout voltage) and set gains on your amp.

The remote gain will NOT go any higher than what you have it set to.
