seting up a home network

I have set up a network between computers in my home and the connection works just fine. The problem I am having is when I try to share files from on computer to the other one and try to acces them from my other computer it says I do not have enough access privaliges and I need to contact my system administrator but I am my system administrator and I don't know what to do. help?????
