SE's are getting old.....im soooo confused

Well ive been lookin for some new subs and i have no idea what to get. Every time i decide on a sub i look on the forum and theres bad review's on the sub i was about to get. I want a large increase in spl but i still want sq. My 2 12" SE's sealed in my eclipse were pretty loud i thoguht for what they were. I now have a Explorer sport so ill need more output to be as loud. Will someone please suggest a sub that will give me what im looking for?

Every1 i have talked to say the SE's dont sound good ported....If i stick with SE's im gonna do 15's tho.....and i would love to have a xxx but im not waitin that long....the 15" se's ported sounds good to me but ive heard way too many "they sound like *** ported" stories.....idk

because they have an EBP of 52 which tends to lead towards a sealed or 4th-order bandpass.

I think you'd enjoy the bandpass.

dunno, never heard them.

Just telling you what the EBP is. Anything close to 50 or less is generally suited for sealed/4th-order BP.

honestly, i would try porting them first before making any huge financial decisions and changes.

port them, or 4th order band-pass them, as mentioned above, would be really loud.

if you have the room, why not? the enclosure is one of the biggest factors in just simply getting louder. if i were you, id try that first.

what about idmax's? those are reputed to be great sq subs. ive never heard them, though.

ive seen them in many ported applications, too.

what is the price range? Have you looked into Stereo integrity Mags, or Sound Splinter Rl-p's

well mags r wayyy to expensive for me....and ive heard rlp's dont get too loud....i really would like to stick with SE's if someone has heard them ported and liked how they sounded plzz tell me lol.....i really just wanna get SE 15's and b done with it.....
