HX2 8's if you can find them can take 800rms, as long as you set it properly.

I've seen a pair of DD 1508's handle a MA HK4000D with ease....I think the MA is rated at 3600w's at 2ohms....

Here is reason in DD's price increase.....when DD went from the 1008a.....DD 1508 on the left....DD 1008a on the right It cost money to build the best 8 in the world...plus each speaker goes through nimerous individual test before it leaves the DD factory....all parts are top notch hand assembled....If you want cheap made chinesse crap...stick to JL and Kicker and such...If you want true quality stick with DD
