Seriously now... IA 20.1 vs. Orion 2500D NO BS

What I'd like to know is how many amps the 20.1 pulls at .5 ohm compared to the orion at 2...

THe 20.1 is going to pull more amps at .5 then the orion at 2.... is that a serious question?

after i showed him the internals of the amp, he said the he can easily put the md2 against the 20.1.

he went into detail, but i dont know if its appropriate to post it here...

an update: the voltages being tested are 13.1 and 15. something.

impedance loads are the same 1 2 4.

PM me, as long as the test isn't biased toward the md2 then he can say whatever he wants... what is it about the 20.1 that makes everyone get so dramatic? Oh it's the uber sexyness... I forgot.

I doubt most people who have these amps are gonna be running 17-18v anyways...

oh no the test will not be not biased whatsoever, ill make sure it isnt.

as for what he said. ill put it in a nutshell:

the 20.1 may LOOK sexy, but the design is very inneficient.

Yeah, a high voltage test would make sense, esp. if craig doesn't mind them modding the 2500 for higher loads...

i can ask them to test it at that voltage...13.1 and 15 was just his reccomendation.

The main reason we dont want the US Amps product to be tested against our amp is pretty obvious. The way it already sounds, the testing has the ability to be easily skewed, making the test irrelevant..........

also remember, the MD2 is 100 dollars cheaper than the 20.1 MSRP

yea i see the concern. if you want i can just post the 20.1 and the 2500D and not the md2 if you like. but the MD2 will be tested. im pretty sure this test will be fair....
