ok i drive a 2003 honda civic si, i installed my system when i purchsed the car it cosisded of an eclipse 55040 a memphis 4 chanel alpine speakers, and a memphis sub it was fine, i sold the eqiupment and bout other equipment heres what happened
i installed a rockford oeq2 processor, 2 phoenix gold sapphire amps, used the same speakers power and head unit.
now i have terrible engine whine and crazy noise and static when the car os on or off, and anything you turn on electrical (ac etc) makes more noise.
here is what ive changed to try to get rid of the noise
all grounds on amps and processors
rca cables and i ran them in a diff location before they were on the right and power was on the left this time i ran them out the window far away from power still noisy the same.
checked battery ground and power they are tight it is a stinger battery,
rewired deck and sodered it, tied in the ground to a ring terminal on the deck and the bround on the harness and screwed that to the car frame.
tried a differnet deck! still the same
i am lost i have never been stumped like
one thing i did try was plugging the racs in toa dvd player and put a cd in it and tie the remote turn on into constant 12, and everything sounded great i dont get it!!!? help
