Cross overs s bass blockers

I have some 6.5 kicker 2-way coaxials in the back of my car and was wondering if those cheap $6 bass blocker things would make it sound better.

I agree with Hoxie.....

if you want to keep the speakers you need to amp them and use an electronic x-over... the cap to properly highpass a mid would be huge...

It might all depend what type of amp you have and of course how high you want the speakers to sound. I have a pair of jbl 6 1/2's in by doors with those bass blockers connected to a RF P450.4 and they sound real clean. I'm sure that with that amp I don't need them but still have them

So bass blockers wouldn't work but a full on crossover would? I don't need anything fancy just to get rid of the distortion.
