How well do you know this young lady? I understand you want to impress her and all, but if you're moving, is it worth all the time and effort of going way over the top? I'd call it quits after the nice dinner, maybe a movie and a couple drinks.
honestly not well, she's just a really good person. i mean, i figure what do i have to lose? best case i set the benchmark and am what all others are held to, i've something good with my time before i left. Worst case, she hates me goes home... atleast i tried.
My wife will not let me date, so I am out of practice. Sorry.
its okay, you should tell her to open up, there is a whole world out there. and use the if you loved me line.
First off grats on getting as far as you have in life.
As for the girl, just do whats always worked for you. Just because you actually like this one specific one doesnt mean you need to go about it with a different approach. Bottom line is focus on the fun and your alright. Then again you already knew that didnt you.
Thank you.
I want to switch up the game, i want to experience something different myself. But i am always myself. And no matter where i go or what i do i never forget where im from.
Ha, let this be a lesson to you kids. Eugenics may very well be the most intelligent member of this forum. IMO he is definitely the wittiest and most creative. And yet he had poor grades at least for a period (and even a 3.33 is way below his potential). Why? My guess would be boredom although a temporary case of the lazy *** would not be out of the question. In any case, if he applied himself he would have had a 4.0. "Smartitude" does not necessarily = good grades.
Now young man, you get back in the classroom and make us proud. Actually, unless you decide to get an advanced degree, I would not recommend going back to school. As you know, you can make a ton of money in the construction business. My old college roommate is a residential general contractor and he makes plenty of money. At the same time he is pretty much able to do what he wants when he wants.
Haha thank you very much. The truth is i really dont care about grades, i just want the knowledge. I got a 32 on my act, if someone wants merit they can look at that. To me it makes much more sense to spend no time studying and pull decent - good grades. then spend hours each night studying something im obviously not interested in enough to persue on my own when i could be doing something much more productive just for a good-great grade. holy run on sentence. I figure as long as i've learned the core concepts im set. If i really deem it nessicary to know something or am interested in something i usually become an expert on it.
The truth is though, i plan to do absolutly nothing with my degree, im just in it for the knowledge. I was a psych major, and started with a grad class and some other things when i was a sophmore but decided i had no aspirations to do that. Or anything else that would keep me in an office or one location for a long period of time. As far as the business and marketing thing i figure thats pretty universal knowledge.
As far as grades, test scores etc. etc. I think they're pretty hollow. I have yet to see one test that takes into account all forms of intelligence and grades them against eachother in a fair light. For example im fantastic at deductive logic etc. But have the worst spacial intelligence you can imagine.
Anyway, thank you for your vote of confidence!
p.s. get an effing messanger.
Is this guy serious?
This is Eugenics the forum tard with the freaky ex avatar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
I'm worried now
If you fly up i will set an extra plate up, but you have to put out.
I failed 6th grade and got very close all of middle school... and my mom said the same exact thing to me. It all made sense, and she told me how happy she would be if I took more challenging classes and see how it turned out. Switched into all honors classes and my GPA last report card was above a 4. Just thought I'd share my little story.
Exactly. One thing i also noticed was in college i was reviewing alot of stuff we did in highschool. One of my reasons for dropping out was that everyone got the same highschool degree no matter how hard they worked. They may be able to get to a different school with a x.xx grade average but i figured i could find a loophole to getto any school i wanted. Just so happens that i did (although im not sure i'd consider it a loophole). When i goto college i was actually interested in the classes i was taking and focused on knowledge that i figured i could actually apply in life situations. That just so happened to go hand in hand with good grades.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif schooling isnt everything. I know people with advanced degrees from Texas A&M University who cant wipe thier own *** with their diploma.
I think that spinning picture of Tobias has totally creeped me out for the rest of the day....congrats.
if nothing else, this thread is not a failure.
I am absolutely serious. Some of his postings may appear to be retarded but in fact they are quite witty. Perception depends on the viewer's own intelligence level and sense of humor. Another member that I think is probably pretty intelligent that might surprise you -- Cleanrupper. (either that are he really is twisted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ). Some others that I think are pretty **** witty -- slammed, devillian, iceteebone. This is not a comprehensive list - just some that come to mind.
Cleanerupper is definatly one of my favorites. i also agree with the rest. You and prowler are on the top of that list as well. don, squeek and most the mod staff (although most of you wont believe it) also demonstrate alot of witty type intelligence... whatever you want to call it. There are many more.
... I'm impressed, Preston....
Anyways, whenever I go on a date, I just keep it light, casual and random. Get in the car and see where it takes us. I've ended up at the beach, at the St. John's river, movie theaters, parks, mcdonalds, very expensive restaurants.... I never have a plan. I just do whatever. There have been a few times where I plan to go somewhere, then I just say 'ah, fck it.'
IMO, women just enjoy having a good time. I've had just as good of a time swinging by a fast food joint, then walking on the beach ($10?) as I have taking a limo to Copelands (great restaurant BTW) and then going to a concert, then going bowling.... spending >$100 in the process.
Just be yourself. Don't put on a show.
I plan to do plenty of things like that as well. But i have a good feeling she's never had a proper dinner cooked just for her. So its about time someone fixed that.
I don't think his focus is on putting on a show or impressing her. It sounds like to me he genuinely wants to provide a great night for her. In fact, by going all out he is taking some risk that she will think he is trying too hard. And I think he knows that and is willing to do it nonetheless.
(obviously no tux though unless it is clear that the event calls for it).
I dress pretty snappy about every day so i dont plan to change that. I dont want this to be anything you have to prepare for or she has to get nervious for. Im going to make sure its free flowing and very smooth. She wont know what we're doing till we do it. Only i will //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
