Semi High End 6 & 1/2's ?

Ok so I am looking at some "sort of" high end 6 & 1/2's for my 2002 Ford Explore and was wondering what you guys think of these? Which would you choose and why? I am also open to other suggestions if you have any?

more maximo is a good choice. those pro 60 bostons are god sets also.

Budget is around $250 to $450 bucks. Will I get quite a bit more performance going from $250 dollar speakers to $450 dollar speakers? I am not concerned about maximum spl but rather just really good sound quality with clear highs and a good mid bass punch. I listen to mostly outlaw country, classic rock & some rap. Any suggestions? The Boston Acoustics Pro60's pretty good? What about the JL audio C5's or any of the others I listed?

For that price you can get a set of nice 3 ways. The Eclipse SC8365's. Hrtbrk1 has a set BNIB in the classifieds here for $250.

look into the focal polyglass set, or the morel tempos even for that money. the eclipse will definitely sound awesome. in that range you have a wide variety of good comp sets.

I dont care how great of a 2 way setup you pick out it will never sound as good as a decent 3 way setup if they are both properly installed. Id go with the Eclipse hands down.

that eclipse 3 way setup is the best choice here.

But if u must go 2 way, Boston acoustics has never let me down. run 4 SR65s on my golf cart and get very loud and havent gotten any distortion yet

If i where to spend $250-450

I would look into
