i agree, but i have seen 3 threads the last week or so of people calling out scammers where it had been just a few hours since payment. So im looking to help out the guy who is busy doing stuff and then is called a scammer the day of payment.
AND AGAIN THIS IS JUST TO SEE IF ANYTHING WILL CHANGE TO MAKE IT EASIER AND MORE SAFE FOR BUYERS AND SELLERS ALIKE.

Nothing is going to change, but it is nice to know people care. Just buy from reputable buyers and not people who have 4 posts and a $500 item. The mods and admin can't force sellers and buyers to not be scammers; can't do background checks on new members. This is an internet forum. Not WalMart, Costco, or even eBay. Scamming is a reality, and people make a living off of it.

It sucks, but as long as people are willing to send money to people they've never met, for an item they've never seen, it is going to keep happening.

Judging by the actions of some of these mods, in now way do I want them to have my address and phone number readily available.

i agree. you gotta research but ive seen guys who have done their homework and still get screwed. like the guy who got a brick as his ps3. just throwin out ideas mane

There is no higher power because you are in charge or yourself and responsible for you. When you send someone your money, be **** sure they're going to send you something in return and understand that they might not. And if you get scammed, you can always not buy anything ever again.

A trader feedback system would be nice but it won't happen. I think we need more of a stickied list of 'Twats not to deal with' not scammers just lame fucks who area a PITA to deal with.

Mods don't get paid to moderate here no reason they should have to babysit all the transactions.

I believe its nobodys responsibility but your own. Its a very strong risk buying from a forum but thats a risk alot of people are willing to take. Its just like the saying you cant have your cake and eat it to so people on here are looking for great deals which they find but to get those great deals you just have to run the risk of being scammed.

I've been lucky with the few transactions I've made but I have to admit I've seen so much scamming here. It's kept me from buying a few things I might have normally taken a chance on.

When I was heavy into Jeeping we had the same problem on the Jeep forums. It was always better to buy from someone with ties to a local club or was well known on the forum itself. For example: I live in Missouri, if i bought something on the forum and it never arrived and the seller disappeared I knew I could contact the "Colorado Jeepthing" were he was a longtime member and someone would be able to track him down. Not a 100% guarantee but better than nothing because Paypal won't do crap if you didn't buy it through eBay and CA.com forbids eBay links for some idiotic reason.

So......maybe we need local CA.com chapters but I can already think of several reasons I wouldn't join. I'm just not gansta/wigga/bass head enough.
