I've been lucky with the few transactions I've made but I have to admit I've seen so much scamming here. It's kept me from buying a few things I might have normally taken a chance on. When I was heavy into Jeeping we had the same problem on the Jeep forums. It was always better to buy from someone with ties to a local club or was well known on the forum itself. For example: I live in Missouri, if i bought something on the forum and it never arrived and the seller disappeared I knew I could contact the "Colorado Jeepthing" were he was a longtime member and someone would be able to track him down. Not a 100% guarantee but better than nothing because Paypal won't do crap if you didn't buy it through eBay and CA.com forbids eBay links for some idiotic reason. So......maybe we need local CA.com chapters but I can already think of several reasons I wouldn't join. I'm just not gansta/wigga/bass head enough.
