Selenium ST350's Have you tried them? Worth it?

yeah pretty dangerous. Bass blocker are getho solution. Let say they block under 500hz. your tweeter will still be stress from the 500-1500hz area. They'll mostly blow someday

Same with the mids, without crossover, they'll try to play tweeters freqs with bad result. Sound quality will be horrible

"FYI.....your mids should be bandpassed, meaning LPF and HPF. I'd do some reading/learning before you jump into this venture and end up blowing your stuff..."

Who said they wouldnt be, my 6.5" mids will be plenty regulated with what notes they play via headunit and the settings on the amp. The mids have there own amp

And yes xprime you must have misread, I am looking for 2.5kHz bass stoppers meaning I wont be putting any midrange under 2.5kHz through the tweeters, that is why I asked WHICH BASS STOPPER I need for those tweets to only see above 2.5kHz with the way I have to wire them to my amp.

Im well aware of what freq's each driver is intended to, and capable of producing

I would LOVE to know if I need to purchase the bass stoppers based off of there 4 ohm spec, or there 8ohm spec. Im assuming I need to go by the 4ohm spec since thats the load the amp see, but am not sure, since the drivers are 8ohm. so I can place my order Id like to get that out of the way.

Since you asked... If you are completely stuck on those, due to a budget, then you'll need four. Each one is running on it's own at 8 ohms - if you were running the stoppers in front of the 4-ohm load, you would go by that, but they'll be placed in series with an 8-ohm load. You'll need one based on the 2.8khz frequency block at 8 ohms.

I'll point out, however - an RCA based one will mean you only need one. You'll spend 12 dollars on the bass blockers, which can introduce distortion at times, and reduce the sound quality (not always, but there's a chance, it depends.) The RCA based crossover will be placed in line to the RCA cables to the amplifier, and will cost you just about double that, but it's simpler and cleaner. If those extra twelve dollars make a difference, then well, nothing to be done, but my 2 cents there.

No youre completely right. I forgot about the FMOD. I dismissed them earlier when I wanted to run 4 twwets, so it woulda have been like $50 for 2 sets. Now I only want to run one set of tweets, $25 isnt bad.

I'll want to cross them @ 5000 though I think. Forget if they had that size.
