Selecting Amp for Type R's

I have 2 12in alpine type R's they are the dual four ohm voice coils.. I was looking at a 1600 power acoustic 2 channel gothic amp i was wondering if that would work with those and make them be very loud...or as loud or close to as loud as they can be....let me know what you think the best amp for the cheapest price would be...

I would also like to have it has big as possible so that i can max these things out and see what they are really made of because i heard that they are pretty good and i want to find that out...

Find something that will output approx 500W RMS for each sub (so... 1000W RMS for both subs).

ok if you want to push em good look at the Eclipse DA7122. Extremely sweet amp,1000 watts RMS, mono amp. Its 2 ohm stable so make sure your subs are compatible.

I was told that i would need a 1 ohm stable amp if i was going to go that way...or just a two channel tha ti could bridge to one...at 4 ohms
