I was just wondering what the best way to secure an enclosure to the floor of a vehicle? Is it best to use a "dance floor" or do i just attach the box directly to the car? should i use bolts or screws??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

any advice????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Im going to use some industrial velcro to keep it from sliding. Im going to use chains bolted to the box and the car with a padlock to keep from theft and doing any serious damage. Might not look the best but if it works, meh.

velcro, eh?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Never thought of that lol. Shit i would use those bungee cords before velcro... but thats just cuz the carpet isnt glued to the floor, its a hatchback so it lifts up...

depends on the vehicle, but L brackets or bolts through the box into the floor the the most popular.

how can i make the bolt from the box into the car air tight? some like rubber tube or something??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Mine too.....i think at least. THats why im using velcro. Hey, at least it isnt visible like bungees. Its not to cheap though. Like $25 for a 2'x15' sheet at Ace hardware.
I used to think my gas tank was under the trunk area, but it was actually under the backseats. Just look under your car to find out where your gas tank is located.

That's my security rig //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I didn't bolt the box down because the carpet and weight prevent it from sliding around.

You could go get some jb weld and some bolts and secure it that way. What you would do is jb weld the heads of your bolts to your trunk floor. Make a hole in your carpet, and then drill a hole in your box, get a fender washer to make sure you cover the whole hole. Then just tighten down the nuts with your sub out of the enclosure.

lawl... i wonder what the expression on someones face would be when they try to yank on that box and it doesnt move.
