secondary alt connected directly to battery bank?

doesn't really matter, depends on your run from your primary battery back. put your largest wires where the majority of your current is going, i have both my alternators connected to my primary battery then back but if you have a large bank pulling a majority of the current you need at least 1 1/0 ofc run from the front back.

if its a large bank you're going to definitely want a dedicated ground run up to your front batteries and alts

so i want to leave my stock alt alone, and add a 370a that is going to run strictly my car audio. how do i go about connecting it? a diagram would be nice if possible, if not then just tell me how to do it, im going crazy trying to figure this out. thanks
I had my secondary 370 amp Singer alternator run isolated.

Run power wire between your alternator positive stud and your battery bank.

You can ground your alternator and battery bank to the frame or run a dedicated ground wire from the alternator case to your battery bank. It's really simple. Just don't connect your positives to the stock system positives.
