Second Skin Tacoma: Work in progress

god dam, do you really think that is all neccesary? What's going in the doors? Mine are vibrating quite a bit with just the factory speakers running off my HU(no time or $ to get anything into my truck yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. ) This made me worried about what itll do when I get some real speakers in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif. How much road noise do you get in your truck? I get quite a bit and am ready to lose it. Will have tons of questions for you by the time you're done. But hey you need someone showing what SS can do in Iowa.

He's a rep that sells deadening products.. im sure he doesn't have to pay for it all. Im assuming it all isn't necessairy, most people just lay down a few layers of mat or sludge

I like the step by step pictures and description //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nice work, ANT - should be one dead Taco //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

There is a good deal of raod noise that comes through the doors, so overloading them should give great results.

I do own the company, so I do pay for the stuff. Cheaper than most, but I dont have too large a mark up on this stuff so it does add up.

agreed, i gooped just under half a gallon of ss sludge in each of my front doors and 1.2 gallons in my trunk-and the difference IS amazing.

Absolute madness.

I have some sludge on my doors and there's zero rattles, it works great. Also, Ant said he was letting the doors cure for a while so the smell goes away. I didn't do that but there wasn't any smell.

I decided to add a few patches of Damplifier Pro to the areas taht seemed a little weak. This time I heated up the Pro with a heat gun to get it real soft so it will mesh in to the creases of the Spectrum. THen I am going to go over it all again with 1mm of Spectrum Sludge.

Still gotta make sure the door fits back on. then if I can fit it on, a layer of Overkill on top. maybe rattle apd over that.

so much to do..
