second batteries vs. powers caps and why?

Are there any specific batteries I should look into for the trunk? Or if I go with another red top should I be OK?

An AGM battery would be best, lower esr than standard car batteries. agm cells to look into are kinetik and optima . Size (power) of your amps will determine the size of the battery/batteries

i havent started my build yet, but when i had my 1500d running off a kinetik 1800 up front with big 3 done, i dropped to about 13.4 from 14.1 volts @ 1 ohm nominal. very efficient amps. im hoping for less drop with my new setup.

you could go with a red or yellow top. but most people here will run kinetik batteries, powermaster, dexa, stinger, batcap, or a couple others. those are real popular here

one kinetik 600 is equivalent to 100 1 farad caps, if that helps any

best batteries on the market are powermasters. a used d3100 for like 250 shipped is by far a better investment than any other 250 you can put into a battery. better then kinetiks IMO

tons tons tons of this shit already discussed if you search. but a battery in the back will help the setup majorly. stock altys can handle an extra bat usually. for you a small battery in the back around 600 crank amps would be helpful on not too bad for the stock alty. try to bump only when your rpm's are at or above 2k. that'll help.
