I'm going out to put in my amp for my mids my sub amp is on a 4 gauge wire (recommended) if I run 4 gauge to my d block that comes out at 8 gauge will I lose power to my subs will I burn the wire or can I jump the power from sub amp to mid amp?

what should be fine running at 8 gauge off the block ? or just run the 8 gauge off the other amp?(from the sub amp to the mid amp) ?

How much power is your sub amp putting out? You don't want to cut down to 8 guage on the amp if you need 4, you'll be getting a lot less power, and running the risk of fire if you're passing too much current through too small of wire.

You should either:

1) run larger wire to a distro block, then run 4 guage to your sub amp and 8 to your mids from there.

2)Run a separate 8 guage straight from the battery to your mid amp which is probably more cost effective.
