Sears in deep do-do

you guys that are saving your money for a sale....

remember when CC went under and they had such a great sale?

50" samsung plasmas for $2400 and the last day they were open the price went down to $1900

I dont expect there to be such a big sale

The people who work there are terrible. They don't pay them shit and then expect them to be motivated to sell.

A good example of their poor management is when my gf actually got a job there, filled out all the paperwork...told her they'd call her tomorrow to set her first day of work up.....NEVER CALLED. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif They forgot. My GF was hired for another job 2 days later.

Yep. I worked at Sears for over a year as a salesperson in tools. Shittiest job I've ever had bar none. I'll list a few of the major gripes I had while working there:

Low pay- $6/hr+ 1-3% commission on sales. Just to give you an idea, the most expensive item I sold was a $1200 table saw(which was really rare at my location) so at 1% I got a whopping $12. Pathetic. Also, considering the lowest level management made over double the hourly rate of the employees working for them, with no real increase in responsibility, makes the pay scales even more rediculous.

Micromanagement like nothing I've seen before- There's a difference between a supervisor, and an ******* that stalks employees their entire shift waiting for them to make a mistake and call them on it. This is one of the main reasons I quit.

General incompetence of Management staff as a whole, shitty department layout and stupid sales goals that were pretty much unattainable round out my list.

There's a lot more, but nothing I feel like typing out lol.

i have always been partial to klein and snap on myself. craftsman is ok though. they will go somewhere else. i lean towards the kmart idea also.
hands down snapon tools are better the craftsman only problem i have is wating on that dam truck . i just hope craftsman dont start doing things like snapon matco and a few others do with the sales trucks
