I worked there for nine months and if the sears youre gonna work at is anything like the one i worked at quit now. I worked in shoes and had a $0.00 an hour base pay. Yes thats right I was straight commision and had no problem making $10 an hour (about 8% commision). If you work in a good area consider yourself lucky for getting that job because you WILL make a lot of money. If you do happen to make below minimum wage they do at least pay you minimum wage, but the next time you make anything above min wage they take what they gave you back (its called draw pay). The reason I hated it was they could never get the commision system right. Countless times my commision sheet was missing 3 4 or 5 days! That made them have to give me draw pay, once they saw their mistake they would pay me the commsion they owed me, but the next paycheck they would take that draw pay back. It was ****ed up and I ended up quitting cause I couldnt take the sears card anymore. Get used to saying would you like this on your sears card because that is all you will do all day.

yeah thats what manager lady was tellin me (about the sears card). but **** thats shitty. im in south miami so there is alot of people in and out of the mall. but how the **** does it work!?

like....custo wants that john deere i convinced him to buy, do i knock out buddy at the register and take over to get my 10% commish? or what? cause i get that 10% on alot of things. but if im running back n fourth to the register...then thats... alot of work.

1. only register people get commish?

2. employee convincing custo to buy shit gets commish?

3. both?

the sears around my house has about 15 employees at all time & sales are far and few they darn near fight for a customer. you'll have days were you lost money just driving in to work & making no sales, commish FTL, but a job is a job.

Pot stays in your system for about 2 weeks. It has a really really slow metabolization rate. All I gotta say is drink a couple gallons of water about an hour before you take you piss test. This diltues the sample. If they make you take a hair test also....well, youre screwed unless you go shave your head.

Day 1: I would recommend not giving a **** about sales and getting as cool with the cashiers as possible. You will have a 5 digit number and whenever a cashier rings a sale they have to put their number in. If cashiers are cool whenever a customer brings up anything you can get commision on they will put your number in.

And you stay with the customer the whole way thru. You ring them up and you put your number in. There are registers in lawn and garden for you guys to use (if your store is like mine) and those are the ones you will use. So you wont have to kick cashiers off.

Yeah and the sears cards blows. They dont care if youre the best salesmen numbers wise, they make most their money of pa's and sears cards so thats what they want. If from day 1 you try to get credit apps you will be favored by management. Being in sales my number one tip is to be as fruity and fake as possible. Don't be down to earth and real you have to be fake and act like you are excited for customers to have your product.

^^ X2, he couldnt put it anybetter. You really do want to become chummy with the other staff the first day. Otherwise, once you start gunnin for your paychecks, they'll probably just end up thinking you are some management brown noser... and that doesnt make for a very pleasent experience or fun time. And also just like he said, he have to be fake. That's all there is to it. You not giving a shit whether or not a customer buys Item A or Item B when they are the exact same thing doesnt put money in the wallet.
