sealing??

hi, i was wondering if i dont go with wire terminals in my box, and i just run the wires through a small hole, must i seal around the wire and if so what should i use, silicon?? thx!!

Yah, I would seal it up... I use liquid nails to seal mine, but silicon would work.

some of that silicone stuff is very potent, my buddy and i used it once for some home subs, last time i ever use that stuff, every time the sub played we could smell it

thats odd, as long as i let it dry before i put the sub in its fine. if you put the sub in before it dried, it might have not gotten enough air to dry completley.
