sealing off the trunk !?!?!? HOW?

I already have a good idea of how to do so but here is some info on it first..

The system is going gonna be a bass racer... All the equipment is in my sig.... 2 quad 1.2 ohm soundstream xxx 15's on a pair of soundstream DTR1.3400d's . . . An Iraggi 260 amp alt, red top under the hood and 2 kinetik 2400's in the back. 2 runs of power and 2 runs of ground (0 gauge). Big 3.

That is the equipment.. The box is going to be about 8 cubes net with 2 6"x14" aeroports so around 32 hertz tuning.... The box will be in the trunk of a 2002 VW Jetta gls firing into the cabin.

Now what im asking you is what are some of the ways to seal the the trunk off from the cabin so all the pressure stays in the cabin rather than the trunk as well.....

my first thought was to just buy about 100 sq ft of sound deadener then put a few layers all over the trunk and the rear deck especially... then put the box in and bolt it down... then take expandi-foam and just make a think layer all the way around the box...That seems to be the easiest. I can sand down the foam once dried too to make it smooth and pretty. lol... what do you think? should be loud?

Sorry for the long post guys... just wanted to be clear what was going on..... PLEASE take the time to read it. lol.. I want your guys opinions.... Also, total newbie question but what kind of numbers would you say I would be putting up with this??? Im hoping itll be doing 153 ish on music daily... i want to bass race 149.9 class.

just make it so you cant see the foam at all. shoot it into empty areas that you box in with mdf if you get what i am saying

Hmmm a little confusing. . . my bad. lol. . . Are you saying i should just take extra pieces of mdf and just place it around the box then use the foam behind that? and kinda fill small gaps ????

Why seal off the trunk ?...my mustang did a 151.9 at a USACi event with a single 12 and the trunk wasn't sealed...

Pretty sick ! ! ! But really I think if i seal it off as well I can itll be more consistent and possibly a little db boost.. Also I HATE trunk rattle, lol. so sealing around the box would definitely help that...

Hell yea. . . That is impressive with only 1 12.... what is the electrical like in there? box tuning etc??? Btw, i asked up there ^^ but its one of those noob questions. lol.. Do you think the set up I just described up there is 149.9 bass race worthy ??? If so what do you think she can do on music after its all said and done with.?

my electrical is stock with under drive pulleys...the only upgrade is an extra battery....you should be pretty close if set up right
