I am having the ****est time figuring out if I can get a W3 10" in this enclosure?? I am going to build a wedge sealed enclosure that measures:

16" wide

15" tall

8" bottom

5" top

I am building the box out of 1/2" MDF. I need 5.93" of clearance for the depth and the magnet diameter is 5.25".

I can start the bottom of the woofer @ 1-2" from the bottom of the box. I do not want to start cutting the wood until I am sure the sub will fit. Please HELP!!

After I take the 1/2" away for the wood, the more I measure the more I dont know. I am a complete idiot when it comes to doing this. I have a box that I built with a W2 in it but I want to go to the W3.

First off,Can u use 3/4 MDF?If you cant owell.

16" - 1/2" inch per side X2 =1inch total lost =15"

15" - 1" =14"

8"+5"=13" divided by 2 =6.5"

15X14X6.5=1365/1728=.78 cf

Hope this helps........

I know the cu. ft. That shouldn't be a problem. The problem is will the woofer fir in the limitted space? I am worried about the depth........with the wedge the space where I can put the woofer is very limitted. If I can make the box 1/2" wider @ the top I think it will go if I start the woofer 1/2" from the bottom. I hope 1/2" MDF will be ok. I think I will half to take one of the vents out of the back of the cab. What is the best way to seal that area??

Ok, before you start removing stuff from your truck, I think the sub will fit. Here's a pic of what you're going to try and build (from your deminsions) I didn't show it in the pic, but from the center of the hole, you shoul have a little over 6" from there to the back wall. Should be more than enough room. Hope that helps.

Yeah! maybe I should have read the post better huh?lol.Anyway try making the box out of cardboard first.If the walls are 1/2 thick build it accordingly.Then take measurements and test fit it.........

I think I figured it out.....if I go 5 1/2" it will give me the space needed. The only thing is will the sub hit the back of the seat?? I will soon see. Thanks for the input and I will keep all posted.
