Im thinking about 10 or 12 S4 12"s in a clamshell trunk wall design in one of my daily drivers. This will be powered by 2 MBQ 2ks @ either .8 or .6 ohm nominal. My deal is i cant decide whether it would be more efficient to go with 6, get more power out of the amps, and more cone area, or 5, and get more box space per sub. With 12, i can probably get about 1 cf net sealed, maybe 1.25 or so with 10. I dont know much about clamshell/diamond style enclosures but i think i have an idea how they work. I plan on building the box and then sealing around it firing into the cabin when i put it in the vehicle. Is there anyone that can give advice on how my plan sounds?
I did a rough design to show my idea, but i plan on actually angling the top of the box to take advantage of the most space i can, and the subs will all be in one chamber.
