Port questions

Right now I have 2 AQ SDC2.5 15's in about 10 cubes net @ 35hz with 144in^2 of port. It's loud, but the box is huge, and I'd like more cone control at lower frequencies. I was planning on building a new box, 8 cubes net @ 32hz with 2 6" aeroports. This design is a lot smaller, but I'm worried about losing output. I've always used big slot ports, so I don't know what to expect. Will it still be as loud?

Can't tell until it's all said and done. With the smaller box you'll be able to throw more power at them, if they can mechanically handle it.
