You should not notice a difference. If you do, it will probably be in your head.

only time divider helps is when amping subs in same enclosure on separate channels. Makes it slight more forgiving when phase and line level matching.

or if you blow a sub , you can play the other til you replace the blown one. Plus adds a bit of bracing if you need it, to the ear...no difference

The blown sub will also act like a passive radiator tuned really high if the coil doesn't seize up causing both drivers to unload.

2 subs in a 2 cubic foot box will see a little more than 1cf each. Probably around 1.25 or so each.

If you dont believe me, find your peak not with them in 1cf sealed boxes. I guarantee you it will drop i a sealed 2cf box with both subsas opposed to each sub in its own 1cf box.
