sealed box problems

I just made two sealed boxes for pioneer 8in swollow mount subs. it said i only need 2.5 ins of mounting depth. so i made them so they would fit the truck.

13L x 9W x 4D outside to outside specs

Will this work or is this to much air space. So do you also think if i put a 2in port in it by drilling a port hole and placing a port in it will work?

Pioneer has boxes for it that are 3.75Dx9.25Wx10.25L this is outside to outside specs

i think that you would have a hard time tuning a port, and i dont think you have enough room to port it.

Hey I have already installed a few of those & they impressed me. A buddy of mine tried porting one & it really sounded BAD!! He had to take it out & put it in a sealed enclosure!!
