Sealed Box Help Please!

I just got an Infinity Perfect 12VQ 12" subwoofer and I'm trying to figure out the dimensions for the box. Infinity suggests an internal volume of 1.0 cubic feet. I want to have a sealed enclosure with the backside angled slightly to match the angle of the rear seats, with a height of 14" and a bottom depth of 10". What should the length of the box and the top depth of the box be? Should I use polyfill and if so how much? THanks for your help guys

Well, we need to know the angle of your seats...

If you want it to match the angle of the rear seats, then figure out what both the top and bottom depth need to be. Then, you can adjust the width to get the proper airspace AND have the angle you are looking for.

You're gunna need either a table saw or a lot of skill with a circular saw to pull that angle off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

As for the angle, just measure from the shortest point to the top, then where the angle stops to the top, and tell us. [As well as max height you're working with, max depth, and max length.]

also make sure that the top depth is big enough so the woofer magnet does not hit the back of the box and prevent it from fitting. Also your sub has changeable pole pieces....make sure you put the one in for a sealed enclosure and make sure there is enough room behind it for venting

H-1.5" X W-1.5" X D-1.5" = X

X / 1728 = Cubic Feet

example... 13.5 X 13.5 X 13.5 = 1 Cube

If you want to add an angle just split the difference between the 2 depth measurements.

example 6" top and 12" bottom depths = 9" depth

This all assumes the use of 3/4" MDF.
