Sealed box aiming

I'm looking to build a sealed box for two 15's for a friend's trunk car. It's going to end up being pretty big (like: takes up the whole trunk big) at about 6 cubes net.

Question:

I Was thinking of aiming the subs up and getting rid of the speakers in the rear deck.

Do you think the output would suffer from aiming the subs up through an empty rear deck vs. backward facing the trunk?

NO, just face them back...it'll be the same output. Plus you can leave the speakers in for more mids and highs.

The best thing to do is try it out to see what you like.

Different cars will have a difference response depending on how / where you aim the sub.
