But to answer the original question, when you get to a sealed volume that's four times the Vas of the driver (10x Vas is "ideal", but anything over 4 will work), it's known as 'infinite baffle'. Some drivers (like ID IDW's, for example) are at home in an environment like this; this kind of alignment has a very flat freqeuency response and excellent transient characteristics. Very musical.
However, power handling is reduced and so is overall output...definitely not the way you want to go if you're into daily farting.
