1500 wouldnt blow it... **** you can get a 1000000000000 RMS amp and not blow the sub... you just gotta watch your gain like a ****'in crazy. Thats what really matters...

now saying the SE is louder then the SX? how can that be said? the SE's RMS is only 600 so 2 is 1200.. SX's is 1200 also... so cone area is really only a factor... The sx can take about 1400ish tho... so I doubt there will be a big differnce expect SQ, and the SX wins that so I think SX

SE's have more cone area and displacement, and the SX rms is 1000 watts. SE's handle more nominal power, and would be a better SPL choice if you don't mind the extra room of a 7 cube box.

explain what, you want to think of subs as total power and 2 subs recieving 600 each is like 1 recieveing 1200, but since the 12s have more surface area( 24 inch sub worth) compared to a 15, they would move more air, so they might get a little louder, but the sx will have better SQ is what hes saying.

The bold part of your statement deals with the displacement. Two 12's dosent have as much surface area as a 24 inch sub would.

(2) 12 inch woofers:

SA = Pi x radius^2 = 3.14 x 36 = 113.04 square inches

113.04 + 113.04 = 226.08

(1) 24 inch woofer:

SA = Pi x radius^2 = 3.14 x 144 = 452.16 square inches

452.16/226.08 = 2

The 24 inch woofer has 200% more surface area than the 2 12's.

How am I lame? You are the one that is posting incorrect information here, not me. I don't find your posts offensive, but I do think that you have the same intelligence level as a dead sloth. You are the one being a "****ing *******", not me. I just questioned why you share your useless information with people who don't give a **** about it, noting that it is incorrect.

Also, if you know "alotta facts" about the SX, perhaps you could inform me as to the EBP of the sub? Also, judging by that figure, would the sub be best suited in a sealed or ported box?

I'm rational, and I've never said the W7 was beyond nasty. But I don't like to pay too much money for a woofer that is difficult to work with and hard to make genuinely clean.

Anyway, higher end RE's and L7's have around the same output capability in terms of SPL.

If somebody gave me one, I would be thrilled at the money I could sell it for. They are very over priced, espically around me. But u can find them for under 350$ if u look hard enough. They take a descent amount of power. L7s take alot of power. So they should bump hard. I never Said L7s dont Hit hard. But they dont have the best SQ. Ive heard alotta Kicker subs, None of them Impressed me SQ wise. But SPL they got r done thur.

I have only heard a couple of setups w/ the W7, and i wanted one immediately.. i'll never spend the money for one.. but watching that thing go to town was awesome... was one of the coolest things i've seen (owner of the local JL dealer had his going full bore one day). i thought it sounded good. One driver that i've been wanting to try out is the Diamond TDX. i had some M5's back in the day and i really loved the SQ out of those things, and have wanted to work with the TDX but didn't have enough room (plus i have a cousing who gives me diamond at cost).

And i hate it when companies make it hard to mix/match power subs with anything but their own.
