Se Vs Sx

Which would probably be louder and have better sq, 2 12 inch SE's or 1 15 SX, assuming they were both ported at 34 hz in optimal space for there driver??? Using a bx1500d for the se's and a bx1000d for the SX,

Well, seeing that the SE's are more coner area AND there going to get more power id have to say them.... But if u were puttiing the bx1500d on the SX it would be real close....(Ive heard they can take 1500 daily....)

well, so you gueys say se? but im willing to buy the 1500d for the sx just most people said they dont think it could take it, and i dont want to blow if for the reason that yes it will be a daily driver, and you guys say the sx would have better sq? noticable or very little?

the SX should sound alot better than the SE. Why not go for a XXX and hifonics 1500d? it wouldnt cost that much more. 100 bucks or so.

well, my parents are rags and that extra 100 will be a pain to get out of them(not out of them litterly, i make all my own money, they jsut want me to put in savings) but i was thinking about getting one 15 inch or 12 inch xxx, whats the price on them now a days, the last forum i looked at had rather old pricing for em. both for the 12 and 15 inch models. also can the sx take 1500 daily then or way to much??? also whats the price on a 15 SX, i kno 2 SE's are 360 shipped to my place. thnx all

**** tough decisions. I would take the SX. I own 2 HC's and basically they are too loud for daily. I love to turn them up but because I still want to be able to hear next week I can't have them loud for longer than 5ish seconds. I just get worried that I'll lose my hearing.

I have 2 RE HC 15's. If you got 1 SX and powered it with 1000-1500 RMS I bet you would be surprised at how loud it actually gets.

Also, ghs_wrestler189 has 1 SX 15" woofer and I believe he hit 143.8 with it. When I was at a few comps 2 years back, the best numbers were 149's and that was on the old mic. That is about 142-3 on the new mic. So 1 SX 15" in ghs_wrestler189's car with his amp is louder than the best at my local comps.

That last point is just kindof a reference to see that it is a loud sub. I don't know exactly what you are looking for but I bet an SX would give u want you want.

well kno one has answered whether 1500 would be enough to blow a sx for daily, or should i get a 1000, plus i was thinking of building a ported box with a plug so i could go to comps and at least try with what ever set up i take.
