SD Cable?

I have SD cable with no thought of upgrading to HD cable in the future. I have a PS3 that I play games and DVD with. I want to upgrade TVs but I am uncertain what TV looks best on SD cable. I know the PQ will be better with HD cable, but I don't want it.

I want a TV between 46-50". I don't have a preference between LCD and plasma, I just don't want it to have issue with SD cable...So, is a 720p best? LCD or Plasma?

Does anyone make a TV lower than 720p that is a flat screen? I do not like DLP.

Why don't you want an HD TV?

If my TV's stating correctly, it's a SDTV (Standard-Definition), so I'm assuming you mean an Standard Def. TV... if so, why get a 50" SDTV? Why not get a 40" HDTV? But to each his own.

Alas, I can't help you. I have a 32" SDTV that I adore, but that's 'cause it was like $200 bucks.

I want a HDTV....actually, I don't care. The larger TVs are only available as HDTVs. I do not want to buy HD cable....so I need suggestion on what types of technology work best with SD cable.

Straight out of the wall...supposedly, comcast has digital cable already, but I don't know if what comes out of the wall is digital cable.
