It was a shitty situation. Your friend made really bad decisions, yes. But, the point of this was to point out how much of a bitch the cop was. And I know what you mean. I saw a few kids drifting in a church once on my way home at like 2 AM. So I pulled in just to watch. A cop came, arrested me, and took my keys / wallet. My engine was off, it was cold at that point, and I was on the phone with a friend the whole time. More cops came and said I was "racing in the streets." The original cop said I ran from him, and hid in the church with my "lackey friends." Eventually, they let me go because it was bogus. They called my Mom (I was underaged) to tell her I was trespassing, and then, as the cop went to drive away I yelled, "OFFICER! SIR! I NEED MY KEYS!" He stopped, put his car in park, and threw my keys / wallet at me. Except I have a 1/2" Wrench on my key ring (it was my grandfather's wrench. He died, so I keep it around to remember him.) and it was dark so it hit me in the face.

I can understand why the cop was being a douche... but my car was cold. I was just watching. I didn't know it was illegal to watch something illegal. I guess not calling the police is illegal? IDK.

I think i read somewhere on here that your a cop. But still; there is a law around here that says if the police are improperly towing your vehicle; it's the cities resposiblity to pay the impound fines. I read it on a notice board of the county records office when I was there before for an impounded vehicle. He had witnesses, and both the tickets they gave him were bogus. Stupid quotas.

I read it on a notice board of the county records office when I was there before for an impounded vehicle. He had witnesses, and both the tickets they gave him were bogus. Stupid quotas.

He's not a cop. He steals cars from people that can't afford them.
