Screw the Police

o_o
He didn't hit up his E-brake? That's what I would've done.

Every cop encounter I've ever had, I got the ******* cop.

But I know a lot of generally nice officers. I met one at Starbucks once and we started talking about Taser guns and discussing ideas how to get around the radar gun. He was awesome.
The e-brake on a 66 mustang controls the rear brakes. The seal on the cylinder busted, thus no brake pressure.

If there's a local statute against it, you did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Failure to notify is a crime in many places, you can argue against it morally or not but if it's there, they can charge you with it.
Oh, I agree. Morally speaking, I should've notified the police.

However, it was in an enclosed area... and everyone who was in the circle "drifting" were notified and obviously consented people. Thus, any injury would've been to a person who knew the dangers. It wasn't like they were in the middle of a neighborhood drifting.

If they were, I would've called the police.

And the church looked sturdy. I'm sure it could've taken a 20-30 mph hit from a flimsy aluminum foil equivalent JDM car.

Oh, really? Wow. I didn't know. In all the cars I've worked on (which, honestly, aren't that many.) the e-brake lever was hard wired to a cylinder that pushed up against the rotor @ the caliper.

Yes and he stated in his post that the seal on the cylinder was busted.

I seem to have really good encounters with the police for some reason, even if I've been clearly in the wrong and doing something I shouldn't have been doing.

I just shut up, play dumb, and make **** sure I know the local ordinances if need be...

They didn't put rotors in the rear in the 60s. At least not cars designed to last 5 years.

My mustang has four manual drums, so it isn't like stopping power was great initially.

We must be lucky fellas then. I haven't seem to find these assholes either.

They still work the same way to an extent. A cylinder pushes shoes against the inside of a drum.

With disc the cylinder just pushes shoes on to the disc. So in either scenario if that cylinder has a busted seal its not gonna work.

**** that. I already know I'm going to hell. There's no point.

Wrong. A church is provate property. You were tresspassing.
At least you admit it. That's all I ask.

And I know I was trespassing. I said they called my Mom telling her I was trespassing. (I was underaged at the time.)

Yes and he stated in his post that the seal on the cylinder was busted.
He probably has limited experience with drum brakes?
I actually have no experience with drum brakes.

Karma's a bitch....

I know this...never seen a disc version bust...although I don't see why it couldn't. I would think that in new cars, there is a valve that would keep it from bleeding out the rest of the brakes. Ie, just the front brakes would work if the rears busted...?

Polices stolez my weed once.

We smoked out ma car w/ about 3 blunts.

We were passin thru the parkin lot and there's a cop runnin on the side of ma car beatin on ma glass.

I stopped and opened the door and a massive cloud of thc hits him in the face

So they searched us and found a quarter ounce, glass pipe, rolling machine, and zig zags

They kept the weed and pipe, gave us the rest and told us to leave, and that they would "destroy" the weed.

Fegs

I was stopped in GA in my GTO doing 68 through a 55MPH work zone because I missed where it went from 65 to 55 in the work zone. I was nice and so was the cop. I got a warning.

THIS WAS IN GEORGIA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
