Screw-On Wire Connectors ?

Is it safe to use an "screw-On Wire Connectors/electrical twist cap" from the Head unit’s harness to an after market harness?

Or to form a cover to avoid an electrical short with these caps?

Or do these cause poor sound quality?

Wire nuts and electrical tape are no-nos in car audio. Wire nuts vibrate loose and lead to shorts. Electrical tape breaks down and ceases to do anything after awhile. Use only crimp connectors or solder and heat shrink to make any wire splices on the harness. It is just as fast and much more permanent and reliable than wire nuts or electrical tape.

As said, wire nuts vibrate loose and will expose the connection.

I like to electrical tape over any crimp connectors to be extra sure.

Heat shrink is the only way to go. Electrical tape is crap.

Ya leave that radio in your car for a summer or 2 then go to take it out with after all those hot summer days. Big sticky, gooey mess.
