Go right ahead. So your little statement telling me to "GTFO!" was mature? It's ok because you are a christian so you are better than me.

Most who dont know me have no idea how fair of a person I am.I never have told any of my 8 kids what to believe in or what not to believe in.I only tell them to do good research and make the choice thats right for them.My oldest 4 children (16,15,12 and 11) go to a Christian chruch every sunday and also attend and volunteer at church functions most of the time. They are aware of my beliefs and try to talk some "sense" into me without fear of any kind of judgement by me.
Im a firm believer in "To each his own" and in the end you only have to answer to yourself.I can sleep well and have nothing in my life that causes me to worry about whats next if anything.I didnt need a religion for that but knowledge about most has brought me to where Im at.

Then there was many, many hits of LUCY.Talk about enlightenment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif
Very nice, definitely have you give you some credit for raising your children (in that respect at least) properly. My mother was an atheist herself and raised me the same way. I believed in a deity when I was younger and when I had asked my mom what she believed in, she told me that she did not. However, she always put in the caveat, "Don't believe what i believe, believe in what you think is right" in those exact words. My Dad and his partner are both strong Christians though and the latter half of my life growing up with them (which is when I truly formed my religious [or lack thereof] beliefs) was a different story. They never forced anything on me, but they definitely tried to get me to believe in god/christianity. It really bothered me and I let them know this, but they'd bring it up now and then. So kudos to you toast

Edit: P.s. and lots of lucy also helped with my enlightenment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well thats a good write up, but most of this thread you have told everyone how they are in the wrong. People that are christian and post on this forum are wrong, and your saying your children are wrong too? I just had a my first child 8 weeks ago and I am hoping to raise her is a christian home with christian discipline. But it doesnt matter what you post about, with athiest, christians and religion involved together, there will always be people arguing. Oh well I know what I believe and I am sure of my outcome, I used to be Athiest for a long time and I think back and think I was ignorant back then, but thats me, o well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I'm not exactly sure how I would go about getting this done, but I would like to be buried right in the ground (no coffin) somewhere with some rich soil and a little seclusion from the busy human world. Just want to embrace my one-ness with the universe, to which I'm connected atomically; with the Earth, to which I'm connected chemically; and to my fellow flora and fauna, to which I'm connected biologically.

Frankly, I find that sort of relation to everything else very thrilling, and highly fulfilling. I find that the world we know and experience now is far more beautiful when we know just how precious life is, instead of cheapening it with pipe-dreams of a perfect afterlife of which we truly know nothing and have no evidence for.

Only problem I see with that is someone will find your body and there will be a man-hunt looking for the person who killed you and burried your body out in the woods.

I not once said anybody was wrong for what they believe in.More to the point that most around me tend to push or force religion upon us non believers.Just like everybody else my children have choices to make on their own and to me that means with unbiased knowledge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I have friends that are non believers and they will not change there mind, and you cant force someone to believe in something they dont want to, it will push them further away. So point understood
